又稱Switzerland，位於西歐的內陸國家，大部分人口和重要城市皆坐落在瑞士高原。最為人知的是其永久中立國的身分。於1815年宣布成為永久中立國，一開始是僱傭兵防禦，後來改採武裝中立，一戰和二戰期間都成功防守，未受戰火波及。無論是人均GDP、人類發展指數，還是《世界幸福報告》，通通都是全球前三名，是全世界最富裕國家之一。是全球第一個以公投決定加入聯合國的國家，但也多次公投決定「不要」加入歐盟。

The Swiss Confederation, also known as Switzerland, is a land-locked state in Western Europe with most of its population and major cities located on the Swiss Plateau. It is best known for its status as a permanently neutral country. The state announced permanent neutrality in 1815. At first the state hired mercenaries to provide national defense before it adopted armed neutrality. It successfully defended itself and avoided involvement in military conflict during WWI and WWII. As one of the richest countries in the world, Switzerland ranks among the top three countries in the world, be it its GDP per capita, or its ranking on the Human Development Index and the World Happiness Report. It is the first country in the world which decided UN membership through public referendum. And its decision against joining the EU was also made through multiple public referendums.
