位於巴爾幹半島西南部，因為境內多連綿黝黑的山脈，所以有些華人區域在國名上意譯為「黑山共和國」，但台灣這邊則採音譯。原本和塞爾維亞共同屬於南斯拉夫聯盟共和國，直到2006年才獨立成兩個國家。雖不是歐盟國家，但境內使用歐元，持台灣護照可免簽停留90天，相當方便。

Montenegro is located in the south-west part of the Balkans. As the country is covered by many rolling mountains carpeted in dense forests, in some Chinese speaking regions, the country’s name is translated sense for sense as the “Black Mountain Republic,” but Taiwan adopted the transliteration version. Like Serbia, it was originally a part of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and the two only didn’t gain independence until 2006. Although it is not an EU country, the euro circulates in the country. Extremely convenient for Taiwanese travelers, Taiwanese passport holders are granted stays of 90 days without a visa.
