薩摩亞群島位於太平洋玻里尼西亞群島的正中心，1900年大戰後一分為二，東部島嶼變成美屬薩摩亞，西部則獨立為一主權國家薩摩亞。薩摩亞人天生強壯，其身形被形容如電冰箱一樣寬厚粗壯，在格鬥、橄欖球、摔角等運動領域表現亮眼，美國摔角影星巨石強森就有著薩摩亞血統（但是是美屬薩摩亞）。中國是其最大債權國，但2021年薩摩亞政府主動喊停一項中國支持的1億美元港口開發案，是中美在太平洋的角力戰場之一。

The Samoa Islands sit right at the center of the Polynesian archipelago. After the war in 1900, it was divided into the east island, known as American Samoa, and the west island, which declared independence and became Samoa, a sovereign state. 

The Samoans are naturally strong built, some calling them as thick and solid as a refrigerator, and have performed outstandingly in MMA, rugby, and wrestling. The famous American actor and wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, is part Samoan (American Samoa). 

China is the largest creditor nation of Samoa, but in 2021, the Samoan government terminated a 100 million US dollar harbor investment backed by China, turning Samoa into yet another wrestling ground for China and the U.S. in the Pacific.
