由55個非洲國家組成的區域性國際組織，集政治、經濟和軍事於一體來整合全非洲的政治實體，宗旨在協助消弭非洲的貧窮和結束非洲地區的戰爭，其前身為1963年成立的「非洲團結組織」。2018年催生《非洲大陸自由貿易協定》（AfCFTA），若全員完成簽署，將成為擁有13億人口、3兆4000億美元（約新台幣102兆元）經濟利益的大規模自由貿易市場。

The African Union (AU) is a regional international organization consisting of 55 African member states that promote political, economic, and military integration of the African continent to reduce poverty and end wars. Its forerunner was the Organization of African Unity (OAU), established in 1963. In 2018, the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) was created. If all member states finish signing onto the agreement, it will create a large-scale free trade market with a population of 1.3 billion and a value of US$3.4 trillion.
