2010年在阿拉伯世界爆發的民主化革命浪潮。從突尼西亞推翻阿里政權開始,形成一波阿拉伯世界年輕人追求民主化、反獨裁的革命運動。然而各個國家命運大不相同,如葉門、敘利亞、利比亞等國,不僅沒有順利轉型,反而進入長期內戰,進而引發歐洲移民危機。不過阿拉伯之春的確為一些國家帶來正面影響,除了成功推翻數個獨裁政權,亦推動部分國家的憲法改革,並提高年輕人參政意識。

Year: 2010-2012

The Arab Spring was a wave of democratic revolutions that broke out across the Arab world in 2010. The ousting of the administration of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in Tunisia sparked the fire of revolutions among the young people of the Arab world seeking democratization and overthrow of dictatorships . Nevertheless, fate took different countries onto different paths. Rather than accomplishing successful transformation, countries like Yemen, Syria and Libya have suffered a long period of civil war which in turn triggered the European migrant crisis. With that said, the Arab Spring did bring forth some positive changes to some countries. The revolutions brought down several authoritarian regimes and pushed constitutional reforms in some countries while inspiring young people to engage in politics.
