位於南亞的伊斯蘭教國家。1947年印巴分治後和印度結下樑子，總共打了三次印巴戰爭，雙方還發展核武彼此威嚇。雖然現在和印度只在喀什米爾地區有點紛爭，仍保有全球第十大現役武裝部隊以及核武。原是增長最快速的開發中國家之一，但近兩年GDP增長率下降，從全球第40大經濟體滑落到第45名。2014年和中國簽署《中巴經濟走廊》，是中國一帶一路的重要項目，但到2021年都沒有進展。

An Islamic state in South Asia. Pakistan became rivals with India after the Partitioning of India in 1947 and fought three Indo-Pakistani Wars, with both parties developing nuclear weapons with which to threaten one another. Even though conflicts with India occur in Kashmir only nowadays, Pakistan still maintains the world’s 10th largest armed forces on active duty with nuclear weapons access. 

Originally one of the fastest growing developing countries, the GDP growth rate has declined in the past two years and it has fallen from the world’s 40th biggest economy to the 45th. It signed onto the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor project with China in 2014, an important item in the Belt and Road project, but there has still been no progress as of 2021.
