It is a world power that is politically stable and safe. In recent history, the Canadian state has perpetrated genocide against Indigenous peoples and several prime ministers have officially apologized. The remains of about 1,000 indigenous children were found in 2021. People are seeking transitional justice for indigenous peoples in Canada.
