位於巴爾幹半島，東臨黑海。原為華沙公約組織成員，後來陸續加入北約和歐盟，現在和俄羅斯關係不太好。從西元1年前就被羅馬帝國統治，是歐洲第三多古蹟的國家，捷運也因為動不動就挖到古蹟，蓋了三十年才蓋好。曾被點名為歐盟貪腐問題最嚴重的國家，人均GDP也是歐盟最低。2020年發生多次大型反貪腐示威遊行。是玫瑰精油的發源地，佔全球產量約70%。

Bulgaria is located on the Balkan Peninsula with the Black Sea to the east. It was a former member of the Warsaw Treaty Organization and later joined NATO and the European Union in succession. The state can’t be said to have cordial relations with Russia. It was ruled by the Roman Empire in 1 AD and Bulgaria has the third highest number of historical sites in Europe. It took three decades to complete the metro system as the construction progress was constantly being stalled by the discovery of yet more historical ruins. It was once purported to be the country with the worst corruption problem in the EU, and it has the lowest GDP per capita in the EU. A number of mass anti-corruption protests broke out in 2020. Rose oil originated in Bulgaria which accounts for 70% of global production.
