位於西亞，是世界上第一個將基督教視為官方宗教的國家。長年和東邊鄰居亞塞拜然有「納卡區域」的飛地之爭，2020年發生數週的軍事衝突後，現在納卡地區由俄羅斯和土耳其的軍隊管控。考量到無法收復納卡地區，總理帕希米揚考慮與亞塞拜然進行和平談判，甚至與土耳其關係正常化，才能為亞美尼亞找到更好的外交出路。然而此舉讓海外亞美尼亞僑胞相當不滿，因為當中許多人都是亞美尼亞大屠殺倖存者的後裔。2022年通過一條新的法律，規定所有大額購買（例如購屋、購車）都必須通過數位支付進行，旨在避免逃稅和貪汙。但也因為要額外支付銀行手續費，引發民眾反彈。

Armenia is the first country in the world to recognize Christianity as its official religion. However, surrounded by Islamic countries with enclave disputes in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh with Azerbaijan, the neighboring country to the east, this country is known as the gunpowder barrel of the Caucasus, prone to various conflicts. After losing the war with Azerbaijan in 2020, the Prime Minister signed a ceasefire agreement which resulted in the surrender of the entire area of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, eventually leading to the Prime Minister stepping down over it. During World War I, the Ottoman Turkish Empire committed genocide against Armenians in their jurisdiction, so they are hostile towards Turkey now, as well.
