俄烏戰爭時期，總理阿爾登採取比過往更明確的立場，積極與日本、美國共同譴責俄羅斯，並多次提供烏克蘭軍事支持及人道救援。過往外界認為紐西蘭在爾登的帶領下巧妙迴避美日同盟的抗中請求。但在俄烏戰爭爆發，阿爾登領導的紐西蘭預料會越來越向西方靠攏，對中國採取更明確的態度。

A country located in southwestern Pacific Ocean, New Zealand consists of the North Island and the South Island. It is 1,500 kilometers away from continent Australia and its long-lasting geographic isolation leads to a diverse ecosystem. Animal husbandry and tourism are the two pillars of the New Zealand economy. The GDP per capita is as high as US$41,000 (expected to reach 47,000 in 2021!), making it one of the top twenty economies in the world. The nation also ranks high on the rest of other national indicators.
Most of its population are immigrants. The nation in recent years has been working hard to preserve indigenous Maori culture. Its national rugby team has the highest winning percentage in the world and is known for its Haka dance before each game.
It is a member of Five Eyes but maintains diplomatic neutrality to avoid conflict with China. It is also the first country in the world to grant women the right to vote.
