東南亞小國，國土被馬來西亞砂勞越分割和環繞。國土面積雖然小，整個國家因為以石油和天然氣為主要收入來源，社會福利良好，人民生活品質亦佳。也因為是亞洲主要石油出口國，油價上漲使得汶萊經濟快速好轉，預計2022年人均GDP將會爆增至79,000美元，是去年少數受惠於俄烏戰爭和原物料上漲的亞洲國家。
特別的是，2022年迪士尼電影《奇異博士2》被禁止在汶萊上映，據說是因為裏頭有LGBTQ+角色。雖然汶萊當局沒有表明原因，但也可以隱約看出他們以伊斯蘭為國教，並遵守嚴格律法的特性。

Brunei is a small Southeast Asian country with a population of 450,000. The country is divided and surrounded by Sarawak of Malaysia, but its economic performance is among the best in Southeast Asia, with a GDP per capita similar to Taiwan. The country mainly generates its revenue through oil and natural gas production. It has a quite comprehensive social welfare system and citizens are exempted from personal income tax.
The head of state is the king, also known as the sultan, who holds de facto administrative and military power, and the state is an absolute monarchy. The state religion is Islam, and the entire country implements strict Islamic law or Shariah.
