位於加勒比海的島國。人類發展指數在加勒比地區略顯落後，但仍列為高人類發展地區。近年來推動「願景2030」發展計畫，希望可以藉由國際資金，促進農業、製造業、旅遊業等產業的發展。特別的是，因為牙買加2015年落實醫用大麻合法化，所以這個發展計畫也將藥用植物和大麻產業列在重點開發項目。或許是受到巴貝多的影響，2022年牙買加政府宣布準備在2025年之前取消英國女王的國家元首地位，成為下一個共和制國家。全國約有60%的民眾支持此一想法。

Jamaica is an island country situated in the Caribbean Sea. It was first a Spanish then a British colony, and is currently a member state of the British Commonwealth. Its economy is dependent on bauxite and alumina mining, sugarcane, and tourism. The GDP per capita is around US$5,100. In recent years, the country’s national debt has grown very large. The government is trying hard to reduce debt through measures such as investment from China. Jamaica has had one of the highest murder rates in the world for many years. On the international stage, Jamaicans have tended to do particularly well in track and field athletics. Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt, is still known as the fastest man alive.
